4. Raise Hands; Shoulder Strike (提手上勢, 靠)

1. Fully shift weight to sit on the left leg freeing up the right foot. Right heel rises, slightly move it toward the left foot.

2. Open the hook in right hand, turn hands slowly so that both hands face each other.

3.While turning waist/hip to the right, raise right leg to the front with heel touching ground. The arms follow the turning movement, hands curve, wrists rotate with right hand leads in front, fingers settle at eye level, and left hand follows to stop somewhat near the right elbow.

4. Turn waist/hip to the left, bring the right foot back near left foot, arms roll back close to the left waist.

5. Step out the right foot again to the front. While transferring weight to the right leg, bend elbow and turn right palm to face left, bring left hand up toward the right shoulder as if the hand is pressing the upper right arm. Mind focuses on the right shoulder.
